What's happening: We will be running the traditional GBBD breakfast event in the Octagon featuring the Bikes 4 Fun 'crazy bikes' which have been very popular in the last 3 years. DCC are co-funding the event to increase the number of participants able to get the breakfast.

What's happening: We are holding a trikathon for our kindy children and their families. This will be held at a designated bike park that is set up as a street design. This allows many teaching opportunites for bike riding safety as well as lots of fun for the children.

Event: Car Free Challenge

Location: queenstown and wanaka
What's happening: Go by bike day is the kick off to a month long car free challenge to be delivered by the mayor. All residents will be encouraged to pick up their travel choice pack and make a committment to go by bike, walk or bus for at least one day.

What's happening: Go by Bike Day event with Queenstown Lakes District Council providing healthy breakfast snack. A cycle skills course will also be held, along with a bike helmet and safety check. Community event involving children, parents, bike shops, teachers, police, and transport planners.
