Event: Franklin Mayoral Challenge

What's happening: Join us for a night of Franklin family cycling fun. Bring your bike, helmet, friends and family and chase Mayor Mark Ball around the track on your bike! Events are free and there's something for everyone. So come along and join in the fun and support Franklin's bid to win the Mayoral Challenge.

Event: Mayoral Cycle Challenge 2010

Location: Hibiscus Hwy, Orewa Beach
What's happening: Come and help us reclaim the title of Most Cycle Mad City! A short cycle course along the beach followed by a carnival with live entertainment, rides and games and prizegiving. The school with the most particpating supporters wins sports equipment!

What's happening: The Bike Wise Challenge will run from 1-28 February 2010 and is open to any New Zealand organisation (businesses, schools, churches, scout/guide groups etc). The Challenge is a fun, free, online competition which encourages you to swap your chair for a bike saddle and give cycling a go during Bike Wise Month. Look at new cycle developments planned for Onehunga (and optional cafe stop). Return through One Tree Hill, Cornwall Park and Manukau Rd (allow 3 hrs). What's happening: Cycling is a safe and fun family activity. This event is a FREE fun family day on your bikes on the Rotary Walkway, one of Manukau City’s premier shared paths There will be a cycle skills obstacle course run by Manukau on the Move, a clown on a unicycle, helmet fitting, Trikes and Training Wheel rides and a cycle amazing race run by Parks. Older children can ride with their parents to the Pigeon Mountain BMX track and have a go at BMX. There are bikes to borrow for adults and children.
